Congratulations to our YWCA Team Vida!!

Support Team Vida! We’re so pleased to share with you that 39 people joined our team this year for Susan G. Komen’s 21st Annual Race for the Cure yesterday at Joe Moakley Park in Boston [9 team members were breast cancer survivors from our program].

On a rather chilly early morning, we gathered at the Park to run and walk the 3 miles to celebrate breast cancer survivors, support those who are currently fighting breast cancer, and remember those we have lost.

For our fundraising efforts on behalf of the event, we were awarded second prize among grantees! After sufficient bonding with other teams, we headed back to Lawrence. Grateful thanks to all who participated in the race, and/or generously supported us along the way!

Leidy's Story: One Woman's Inspiring Journey

They rely on us for safe and affordable care for their children so they can work. They look to us for help accessing vital health information and services. And we are there in times of distress, by helping them escape domestic violence and remain safe.

Our YW is a place to turn for so many women and their families who need a helping hand.

This inspiring video tells the story of how one woman escaped domestic violence and made a new life for her and her daughter, with the help of the YWCA. Your support makes these success stories possible! Thanks to Leidy for sharing her journey of hope and perseverance. Created by Tower Hill Films.

Our YW is their lifeline.

Give Help
Your support helps us empower women to break the cycle of domestic violence and poverty, take better care of themselves and have access to work programs that help them look toward the future with hope and promise versus despair and anguish. Your support also enables us to provide guidance, promote literacy and educational goals to children.    Please consider investing in the wonderful work of the YW and make a difference in the life of a woman or child.

By making your tax deductible donation – in any amount - you will be making a difference in the lives of those in our community.
